Cookies & device storage
Optional measurement is off unless you allow it. You can change that choice in Privacy & device settings.
Sign-in and necessary preferences
The hosting and sign-in services use authentication mechanisms to keep your account session working. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in. TalkToMe stores your consent version and device preferences in browser storage. Your consent to AI processing is separate from permission for optional measurement.
Notes you choose to keep
Conversation continuity, journal entries, progress and Plus notes can be kept in local storage under an account-specific identifier. They remain until cleared, overwritten or removed by your browser; they do not automatically expire when you sign out. Export or clear this account’s notes in Privacy & device settings. To remove legacy or all accounts’ local data, use your browser’s Clear site data option. Someone with access to your unlocked browser may access local data.
Optional measurement
The preference key ttm-measurement-choice remembers yes or no until you change it or clear site data. If allowed, an account-scoped visit identifier groups public-page events; a new identifier is used after 30 minutes of inactivity. It is not a count of unique people. Recorded events may include the public page path, selected link, campaign source, referring hostname and time. Conversation text is not included. Sensitive conversation and account paths are excluded.
Turning measurement off stops future optional events and clears this account’s current visit identifier. It does not erase events already received. Individual measurement records are removed after 90 days when the event endpoint next receives traffic; daily aggregate counts remain. Contact us through the privacy notice for data requests.
Offline files and external providers
The service worker can manage application files, but does not cache private conversation pages or API replies. An offline notice is not a working offline AI service. ChatGPT sign-in, the AI provider, optional browser speech services and payment services have separate processing arrangements. We have not completed an independent inventory of every cookie set by hosting or external providers; this notice is not a claim that none exist.
Your controls
Use Privacy & device settings on this page to change measurement, withdraw AI consent or clear notes. Browser settings can also delete or block storage. Clearing storage may sign you out or remove unsynchronised notes. Declining measurement does not prevent using the free service.
